Simone Revue Ciné-Club

Simone // Revista / Revue / Journal presents:

“Simone Revue Ciné-Club”

Cinema is an experience that transforms us. When on and behind the screen no one has been humiliated. No one has been abused. When persons and artists are one and the same thing and there is no need to separate them.

As Judith Godrèche said:
“Cinema is made up of our desire for truth.
Films look at us as much as we look at them.
It’s also made up of our need for humanity.
So why?”

We ask ourselves what feminism is and why a certain film is feminist. What the director wanted to show us. How she showed it, through which words, which plots, which gestures, which photographs, colors, music, framing.

We try to decipher the messages, the beauty and its scope.
We create new messages. Because our genius was not created by someone, as Isild Le Besco was told, we created it ourselves.

Moi aussi.
